▶ 9:03 Speaker 4: Okay. Uh, that 9 1 1 training grant is for a total of $86,000 580. Again, $86,589 and 17 cents. And that training grant that's awarded to, uh, PSAPs, which provide 9 1 1 services, which we do to reimburse that agency, which would be the police department for fees associated with attendance that approve 9 1 1 training courses, including certifications, research, and 16 hours of continuing education for all our certified telecommunicators. And additionally, this ward will cover straight time or overtime costs for the participants. We send every sworn officer to these trainings, uh, and that covers the fees to send 'em to school, and it also covers backfill for overtime and whatnot.

▶ 9:52 Maya Jamaleddine: Thank you. Um, actually, uh, it's, um, it's a question related to this grant specifically, but can also relate to the, all the grants that before us today. Um, are these grant, um, have we received these grant for the first time or have we received it before
▶ 10:09 Speaker 4: The, uh, we, we receive these pretty much every year, with the exception of the traffic grant. I think we haven't done that in a few years, so that's coming back. But the other 3 9 1 ones we do, uh, every Year. Okay. And
▶ 10:20 Maya Jamaleddine: any of, so are we sending, um, our officers every year for, you know, to renew, uh, those kind of training or just as kind of obtaining,
▶ 10:35 Speaker 5: taking the same training? It's a combination
▶ 10:36 Speaker 4: Of both. It's, it's a lot of it's mandated training. Mm-Hmm. So, uh, which is good because they have to go and then we get reimbursed for the money. And then there's certain, uh, was it we have to do with and PTC to be certified as well every year. And some of that is, uh, covered in this too. So it's a kind of a double win for us.
▶ 10:53 Maya Jamaleddine: And, and just to get some, uh, knowledge about, um, the, what is the 9 1 1, uh, training? Is it specific to, um, how to respond to the, to these calls? Or is it specific to the type of the calls that we receive in terms of population, whether it is regarding, um, health, um, mental health issue, or any other different topics?
▶ 11:15 Speaker 4: That's an excellent question. So every year, these, these training courses that get reimbursed to the cities and towns that have to pay for it and whatnot, they have to get approved by the state 9 1 1 department, as I guess you would call it. It fits. So it fits the sort of definition of what you would do in 9 1 1 and so forth. So there's a whole list of them. And then generally, at least last year, you know, my first year here, I'll consult with the lieutenant charge training and we'll, we'll pick which ones we think would be most applicable because a lot of the training is repeatable, but we also like to sort of see what's new out there. So there's a list and it has to be on an approved list.
