And, um, may I just say congratulations to those of you that are returning and your new colleagues as well. And to those of you who are finishing your service to the city, I also congratulate you and I thank you for your service to the community and all that you have done while you've been sitting at this table.

▶ 5:45 Leila Migliorelli: Next up, we have a series of grants for the police department. So tonight we have chief fires speaking on all of them. We'll start with Grant 2024 dash five police, FY 24 traffic grant, traffic Safety Enforcement grant.
▶ 5:59 Speaker 4: Yes. Good evening. Thank you for having me. Uh, we do have four grants, all of which I just wanna say are all, uh, no matching funds required from the city. It's all reimbursable from the different agencies. So the first one is the traffic grant. Um, it's an $18,000, um, $18,000, 890, $18,893 for traffic enforcement. So it's a six phased approach. Um, $4,000 of which we plan on buying, uh, a couple radar units. And the other, uh, money will be used to fund overtime in four hour blocks to enforce traffic, uh, issues such as pedestrian crosswalks, hands-free speeding, and so forth.

▶ 6:45 Ryan Williams: Yes. Um, when you say radar units, are you talking about the speed feedback signs? I'm sorry. When You, when you, when you say radar units, what specific units are you talking about?

▶ 6:57 Ryan Williams: It's the handheld ones is what I understand. Oh, Speed. Speed guns. Correct. Correct. Oh, okay. Very Good. That's my understanding. Yeah. Yeah. Okay, great. Um, and with the, what's the rough timeframe that you execute?
▶ 7:09 Speaker 4: So, um, it goes actually until September. So we're gonna probably start amping it up probably
▶ 7:15 Speaker 1: around the spring when it gets a little bit better.
