Seeing no objection, this order is now before us a resolution honoring Christopher Cella, a city counselor at large for 2020 through 2023. Whereas the City Council congratulates Councilor Ella for serving two terms as a counselor at large for the city of Melrose and appreciates his commitment to Melrose. Whereas Councilor Ella was elected by his council colleagues to serve as the city council president for 2021

▶ 11:46 Jen Grigoraitis: and 2022, as well as serving as appropriations chair in 2020 and public service vice chair in 2023. Whereas Councilor Ella led the council through two years of the COVID-19 pandemic, during which he provided leadership in an ever-changing public health environment and oversaw the first ever hybrid council meetings in the city's history. Whereas Councilor Ella provided guidance and support to all his colleagues and treated his fellow counselors and city hall staff with respect. Whereas the council recognizes that Councilor Eccles dedication to, to our community extends well beyond his efforts in the chamber. And he supports many Melrose organizations, including the Chamber of Commerce, Melrose Rotary, and keep Melrose beautiful. Whereas Councilor Ella is an active and engaged member of Melrose's business community with an office in downtown Melrose and regularly supports our city through efforts such

Now therefore be it resolved that we the members of the city council do hereby express our sincere appreciation to Councillor Ella for his leadership on the council in service to the residents of Melrose, be it further resolved that on this 18th day of December of the year 2023, a copy of this resolution be spread upon the records of the city council and that a special copy be signed by each member of the council and presented to Councillor Ella in honor of his retirement from the city council also,
