The closure of this will be effective FY 25. And as we have members of the administration here before us, I will entertain a motion to suspend Rule 37 B so we can hear from them.

They, they're, they sort of operate in tandem, but obviously require sep separate votes, which is in preparation for the new trash contract, which I know we've talked about at length, um, to rescind the Recycling Revolving fund and replace it with an enterprise fund for solid waste and recycling collection fees. So that's, um, and this is really the procedural mechanism to close and open those funds. Should this be the will of this committee and then the full council later on in your budget process would be when DPW would be before you to talk about the uses of the funds and the monies that would go in and out of them.

▶ 4:05 Speaker 3: No, no. So, um, tonight before you is order 2024 dash 31, the rescission of the Recycling Revolving Fund. The Recycle Revolving Fund number 2 6 5 7 was established for the purpose of capturing fees associated with special recycling events that the city hosts, as well as routine recycling of television, mattresses, metal, et cetera. And then the expenses associated with such events annually. This fund is re-certified during the budget process, including all revenues, expenses, allowable revenues allow allowable expenses, as well as the spending cap. Um, Sue right now in the fund, as of May 13th, the balance is $103,000 in this fund. And just, um, as a mechanical thing, at the end of the fiscal year, whatever monies remain in this fund will be closed out to the general fund and certified as part of free cash for the general fund. Um, and so the intent is any of the expenditures and revenues associated with this fund would transfer into the sanitation fund for fiscal 25

Um, we'll go into the enterprise fund as well as the expenditures, but it closes out to the general fund June 30th and remains there.
