Jennifer Grigoraitis, Seamus Kelley, Margaret Raymond Driscoll, Matt Hartman B Vote: IJND and IJNDB Policies Mr. Hartman presented Policies IJND and IJNDB for a potential first vote. MOTION: To Approve Policies IJND and IJNDB RESULT: ACCEPTED [UNANIMOUS] MOVER: Margaret Raymond Driscoll SECONDER: Jennifer Razi-Thomas AYES: Dorie Withey , Jennifer McAndrew, Jennifer Razi-Thomas, Jennifer Grigoraitis, Seamus Kelley, Margaret Raymond Driscoll, Matt Hartman C Vote: Concussion Report Mr. Hartman presented an updated memo regarding concussions (from a previous agenda), noting that a document with additional details was added to the packet. Interim Superintendent Berman reviewed the memo and discussed with Mr. Fogarty the possible increase in reported concussion numbers. While there is no definitive explanation for the increase, factors may include greater awareness among students, coaches, families, and referees, leading to increased reporting. It was noted that the percentage of concussions remains consistent across various sports and that the report only tracks incidents for 5 grades 9-12 that occurred during district acti

Moving on to our next set of policies. We have IJND and it's a accompanying, uh, policy, I-J-N-D-B. So this is our, this potentially could be our first vote tonight. Uh, and so Ms. Acevedo worked on this policy extensively to upgrade, in particular the I-J-N-D-B policy, which we heard an explanation of at our last meeting. Um, the IJND policy, one note to make is that, um, since our last meeting, it eliminated the, the piece around damaged school property. 'cause that's included in the IJ I-J-N-D-B policy, which is being proposed. So we have one consistent place to talk about, um, damaged, uh, it property from the schools, uh, and what happens with it. Um, but at this point, the committee could vote on both policies for a first vote tonight. If there's further questions, maybe we should go through those first before we move into a vote.
