▶ 46:12 Devin Romanul: I believe we did minutes and public comment. Uh, first item on our agenda tonight is ID number 1 2 7 2 9. Amending Chapter four, the revised ordinances of the City of Melrose to insert a new section four dash 15 payment of taxes as a condition of city facility rental.

▶ 46:32 Speaker 1: Good evening counselors. Um, so before you tonight, um, as just mentioned, is a request to amend the city code to add a new section. Four 15. Um, this would apply to require taxes, any municipal charges and fees to have been paid at the time someone signs an agreement for a city facility rental. So this, um, mirrors the process we now have with licenses and permits, for example. So our treasure collector has a list, um, that she keeps of anyone that's delinquent on taxes, municipal charges and fees that she will send to inspection services, liquor license, commission, et cetera. Anyone that's seeking a license or permit, we're just looking for the same process to also apply to any facility rental. So that would be Parks, property structures under operated by the city, including school and city buildings, Memorial Hall, the BB Estate, Milano Center. A lot of these, um, buildings such as Memorial Hall bb, they have their own boards that have complete control of a rental, but they do have to follow city ordinances, which is why, why we're looking to insert this into the city ordinance. So this would become a standard part of the process, um, when they're entering into these agreements. Happy to answer any questions anyone might have.
