es. 3. ANNOUNCEMENTS OF THE SUPERINTENDENT 1. Report: Back to School Information Superintendent Berman provided a back-to-school update, noting that school-year administrators have returned to buildings and leadership is preparing for their upcoming summit meetings and to welcome new team members. Ms. Berman noted that the Aspen system has been updated for the 26–27 school year, allowing families to view student schedules and teacher assignments, and noted that an informational newsletter will be coming soon. She reviewed key dates: educators return August 31–September 1 for 1 professional development, students in grades 1–12 and Pre-K return Wednesday, September 2, and Kindergarten begins Tuesday, September 8. 2. Report: Personnel The Superintendent presented the personnel report, noting that there are also recent hires not yet listed. The Deputy Superintendent noted a settled collective bargaining agreement with traffic supervisors that significantly raised the daily rate, attracting eight new applicants. With five candidates advancing to join the current team of nine, the district expects to expand its staffing this year. 3. Repo

▶ 7:26 Speaker 4: Great. Thank you, Ms. Driscoll. First, just wanted to share again some of the back-to-school information. Our campus, being the secondary campus especially, is really starting to buzz. We've had some teachers coming back, some professional development launched yesterday, where we had some teachers and our administrators on campus. All of our administrators are back in their buildings, so the administrators who do not work full year are back. And we're getting ready for our summit meeting. That will happen, so that's our leadership team that will gather on both Thursday and Monday as we really plan and come together, and we welcome... Again, thank you to the override and some other pieces, some new administrators to our table and to our team. So we're excited for that. Aspen has been rolled over, which means that we were waiting for all of our state reporting and different things that we needed to do to happen. So we have officially rolled over, which means that all of our kindergarten new registrations are now in there as kindergartners, and our graduates are now graduated. So that's nice that we have email lists that are accurate. And so what this also means is that I will be sending out that informational newsletter, hopefully tomorrow, but definitely by Thursday if all goes well tomorrow. We're just trying to get that into that Smore format, so that we can send it out, and that way it can be translated for those who need it, and that's really important for us. So that will be happening. And also, definitely by Friday at the latest, students will be able to see their classroom teachers at the elementary school level, and the secondary level students will be able to see their schedules and their teachers as well. So I know that a lot of students and parents hold their breath for that time, so that is definitely coming by the end of this week. So, and just as a reminder, our educators will be coming back on Monday, August 31st, and Tuesday, September 1st, we'll be engaging in professional development, which I mentioned at our prior meeting, and we will hear a little bit more about later tonight. Students in grades one through 12 and our pre-K students will return on Wednesday the 2nd, and our kindergarten students will begin on that following Tuesday the 8th. And again, that's just so they do their kindergarten screening on those first two days when our other students are in the building, and that frees up our kindergarten teachers to be able to assess those students and get them started on the right path. So I don't know if there are any questions about that.
