▶ 1:35:26 Devin Romanul: Mr. President, our budget comes to us from the Appropriations and Oversight Committee with a recommendation for passage, and at this time I'll make a motion for passage. Second.

▶ 1:35:40 Jason Chen: A question to my colleagues. There are a number of large items, like fire salary negotiations or the school budget, that may be different from what was in the original submitted line items. I suggest we bring in those department heads or the CFO at some point soon to understand what those final items are, where they landed compared to our budget, and then how all the other line items that we ostensibly approved in our budget hearings change based on those. And I've put a request into our CFO and the schools, to Ken Kelly, asking him what are the actual total salary increases for the next three years that were negotiated, because it's hard to figure out just based on reading the social media posts and reading the contract itself, because so much depends on lanes and steps and how many people are in them. But plugging those into a model will show us how we're doing in terms of inflation gap between revenue and spend. I think those are key things that we owe the public as we pass a budget and follow on with our oversight responsibilities.
