▶ 2:23:47 Speaker 3: I can give a brief summary again. This is to continue system-wide improvements, but the majority of this funding is focused on Tremont Street. I provided a detailed package on the condition of Tremont Street, the hydraulic analysis performed by our engineering team, and even a few photos of the most recent water breaks out there. And please let me remind you, Tremont Street was the location where a significant amount of water was lost in January and February that, unfortunately, at this time will impact our rate for next year. this project will eliminate his debt issue will bring better fire flow to that to that corridor and improve our water quality Thank You mr. Wright Jr.: please mr. sheriff thank you for that explanation this board along with the administration took the forward-thinking step in my opinion of approving transit oriented development and in doing so we see development going up along the Tremont Street corridor currently that development is of a scale like we haven't seen down there before are they being asked to invest in the water and sewer system and maybe pick up some of this cost I know that they weren't responsible for it but I assume we have to allow for the fact that we're gonna have certain amount of development down there that might require a water service and I'm way out of my league here as far as knowing what what's needed for a water and sewer system but I'm just presuming that this system might require to be upgraded anyway based on the type of development than we anticipate, and was it anticipated that the cost of doing so would be passed on to these developers? I certainly don't think the building that's going up there and that developer should have to absorb this cost. But will those developers present and future be expected to incur any of that cost?

▶ 2:26:06 Speaker 3: 100% of their service connection costs will be borne by the developer. That's the cost to get water from the building out to our system. Okay. system has to be operable and right now we have a system that's that's broken and that's not by anything that they cost that being said the system will be to the standards that are required for development and whether we consider a connection fee in the future it's something that i need i need to work with my engineering team and obviously work closely with planning there are communities that do that that offer connection fees that help the community pay off some of the the investment in the system on the suicide they do pay they'd pay an INI connection fee so developments do do assist and do pay to connect into our

Wright Jr.: And if we do that, then I assume that you would anticipate that, or the administration will anticipate that some of that cost at least will have to be borne by the developer. That's correct. Okay, and if I may have a little bit of latitude, Mr. Chairman. Please. The new development that's going up there and future developments that may go up there, are we at least urging them to individually meter the units? Yes.
