▶ 50:29 Denise Gaffey: Thank you very much. Thank you. I appreciate being here this evening. I have filed this order. There's actually 2 orders this evening. Related orders requesting the city council's authorization for submission. Of a statement of interest for accelerated repair. Program for the mass school building authority. This is a grant program. That the city has taken advantage of in past years. In order to address some high priority. Repair projects in our school facilities. Um, most recently we use this program for the Hoover window indoor project a couple of years ago. Um, essentially the way this grant program works is the school building authority requires. These the city council and the school committee to. Authorize the city to submit the statement of interest. It's, um. It's a formality it is, um. It does not take the place of a future funding authorization should the city be fortunate enough to receive a grant award. It is a very competitive grant program. In this instance, we have identified 2 high priority projects off of the city's capital improvement program. And that is for the replacement of the roof at the Hoover school. And the replacement of the roof at the horse man school. And so, at this time, we're asking for authorization to simply to submit the statement of interest. Um, there is a June 1st deadline for this for the grant submission. Um, and which is, which is what is necessitating the immediate consideration. I know it's not ideal to do it in that in that manner, but. Um, in this instance, uh, we would have to have a special meeting, I think, in order to to meet the June 1st deadline to submit. The statement of interest, so I just want to again reiterate that. Um, this is not a commitment of this on the city's part. To fund these projects, it's also not a commitment from the to provide a grant award to the city. Traditionally, when we have applied, we've received about 50%. Um, in funding, so it's a matching program where they contribute about 50% and the city contributes. The remaining portion, but again, if we do get this grant. Um, we would come back to the council for the funding authorization.

I had the opportunity to be in the Hoover school on Friday as part of the review of some of our polling locations and. You could see just from the inside of the building, the desperate need to repair some of those roof tiles, so I motion for passage.
