It's a perfect example of a resident having an idea, following the correct process with local government, and following through with the action to benefit the community as a whole. It is still in the planning phase, they hope to purchase 7 AED's, and the specific parks placement is not yet determined. VIII. APPROPRIATIONS FOR FY26

I'm going to be working with the health department, probably police and fire as well, to make sure we have uniform equipment throughout the city. Mm. Mm-mm. There's going to have to be an installation because we're going to have cabinets at the fields that are manufactured to notify public safety services when opened and used. So hopefully as soon as possible. Great.

▶ 2:20:38 Speaker 6: It's still up for discussion. It's going to be a decision that the Park Commission ultimately makes. The estimate that we had was seven parks. Okay. So again, it's all up to the decision of the Park Commission at this point. We're still in the planning phase for it now that hopefully the funding's available.

I'm sure we're thinking about some kind of public service training for- Mm ... anyone, and I hope no one's here has had to use an AED before, but it really is designed for while people are doing CPR on a person to keep their brain oxygenated. Mm. Any person who can read, it's designed for you to be able to use it under stress. It's got diagrams. It'll talk you through it, so open it up, unzip it, and just push the button. It'll start telling you what to do.
