Before I call for the vote, I would point out that this motion will be recorded and rebroadcast on Melrose Cable Television in accordance with the open meeting law. On the motion to commence public participation, all those in favor? Aye. Anyone opposed? Motion passes. This is the portion of our meeting where any member of the public may come forward and declaim on any order that is on our agenda this evening. It does not look like any member of the public is with us. Motion. Second. Alderman McAteer-Margolis moves to close public participation. The motion is seconded by Alderman Mortimer. On the motion, all those in favor? Aye. Anyone opposed? Motion passes. We are here this evening at a call of His Honor the Mayor to consider Order 215-63, which is a request to set a public hearing on classification of property and subsequently to determine classification of property. We just concluded a meeting pursuant to which the Appropriations Committee made a vote to classify and to adopt a 1.42 shift factor for commercial property with no exemptions.
