I just wanted to state that I was a member of the master plan committee back in 2004, And it was a great committee to work on, and it's very exciting to see how much of it has really come to fruition. ▶ 9:13 Robert A. Boisselle: All right, back to the order 2015-173 in the professional services. a number of thirty one thousand five hundred you've been mentioning twenty five thousand as a city's portion what's the extra six thousand four sixty five

▶ 9:24 Denise Gaffey: hundred actually and the reason for that is concurrent with this master plan planning process is also a small piece associated with a school demographic study and I want to actually start off by apologizing because I thought that you all had a copy of the agreement between the New England School Development Council and the city for this demographic study as part of your order but I learned at the end of the day today that it was somehow not uploaded to the order and I apologize I didn't initiate that particular order and it was intended to be so in any event you have in front of you I believe because Mary Beth Harrington is going to make it available to you a copy of the agreement and I know you've also heard both mayor Dolan and superintendent Tainmore speak about the need for the school demographic study the concern that they have about the incoming kindergarten class and trying to get a handle on the school population over the next next ten years so superintendent a more and mayor Dolan reached out to NES deck earlier this year to talk about and doing this demographic piece and it's very much associated with the master plan we do a lot of demographic research and census data analysis as It's part of the master plan, so we consider this sort of a companion piece. But it is a separate contract, and it is a separate funding source, the $6,500. So that's where the $25,000, which is the piece that will be spent on the MAPC staff, and the $6,500 on the NASDAQ study totals $31,500.

▶ 11:12 Monica C. Medeiros: please thank you uh thank you miss gaffey uh i know that so this information when completed uh will be put together into the master plan and so this is the the entirety of the master plan will there be an additional cost and step beyond this first study um the study

▶ 11:37 Denise Gaffey: which study for the the work that we do with mapc the work that we do with them nope that is we anticipate that to be the entire cost of completing the master plan document and i probably should have brought a copy of the one from 2004 which i think you can still see um you can still get download online but it's a comprehensive document it will provide a you know like i said an analysis of existing conditions and census data and some projections and then of course go into all the different components that i mentioned so it's a very comprehensive document and we absolutely expect that'll be completed with the funding source that we're asking for today and i know you you mentioned that the open space plan that what's been done with mapc will be sort of included and incorporated into this and then i know um at one of the i think was the very first meeting about the highlands that MAPC had mentioned that they did some demographic studies for the Tremont Street corridor yep is that information available to us now and yep that information was all folded into the real corridor plan that we published in 2013 which is again it should still be on the website I know when they reconfigure the website some information was lost but that document should still be on the planning department so some of that might get oh yeah and some of that would certainly get folded in to this correct thank you uh thank you

Boisselle: the mapc in the demographic study for the schools is that going to overlap in any way i mean i'm I'm looking at the first current conditions, we'll do priorities, research, and analyze population data trends, and will be compiled into a report for current conditions and trends. I mean, when I'm reading the demographic study, it gets pretty close to what I'm reading here. Is there any overlap, or is one feeding the other?

▶ 13:51 Denise Gaffey: Well, the agreement and the work that NASDAQ does will feed demographic piece that MAPC does we will just we will tell them that they do not have to focus on that since the NASDAQ will be doing the school population piece and they and they frankly better suited for that that this is what this is pretty much all they do is school when it comes to demographics is study school population trends so it makes sense for them to do that work so
