Christina Racic-Pachulis has lived in Melrose for four and a half years and lives with her husband and two children. She currently serves as the vice chair of the Human Rights Commission, and her current appointment ends in February 2017. Christina's passion is to work on behalf of women. Trained as a lawyer, Christina currently works at Simmons College as a staff administrator, teaching constitutional law, food policy, and Massachusetts politics. She also advises the pre-law students and runs a program, a mentor program, excuse me, that places undergraduate women with female legislators at the Massachusetts State House. Since graduating from college, Christina has represented women who identify as victims of domestic violence and divorces. She has worked as a student legal advocate and a volunteer for the women at Rosie's Place, and as a volunteer at the Boston Medical Center connecting victims of domestic violence with services. Christina hopes that the Women's Commission will serve as an educational portal for the the women of Melrose to understand their rights and as a way to advocate for local issues on the state level she also hopes that the Commission will become a place that men and women in Melrose can address any concerns that they have that
