▶ 2:20 Speaker 1: for giacomo's restaurant for over 20 years now it's in my family the restaurant is we also have four we have five right this will be our fifth restaurant total uh so we have many years of experience in the restaurant industry i live in melrose on beach ave joseph's also a resident of melrose so this is uh great for us to be opening a restaurant here in melrose we've actually thought of it and poked around for many years so for this to actually come to fruition now we're very happy

Lemmerman: about it thank you very much thank you for being here this evening your your restaurant you referenced you've worked with for a couple of decades now Jack Moses is pretty well known in the Boston area could you tell us a little bit about your plan for the the Melrose version of it in the space here in

▶ 3:23 Speaker 1: Melrose it's gonna be 80 seats we're gonna start off with being open for dinner only will eventually add lunch we will have uh nine or ten seat bar if we can fit ten seats it'll be a ten seat bar in the back um we plan on opening to the maximum hours that we are allowed for the bar i think it's thursday friday saturday is 12 and then the rest of the week i think it might be uh 10 or 10 30 and we'll push that until we we'll push those to the limits that we can be open uh we're very reasonably priced our wine list is very reasonably priced and we plan on doing that here as well uh we made it very family friendly with a lot of the tables that we can move together knowing that that's going to be our clientele so we're not just going after like later in the evening maybe some bar business but early in the evening we're definitely gonna accommodate as many families as we can as well we will not

Zwirko: you chairman Mujeres I just had a couple of questions also I'd like to echo the concerns and statements thank you for coming to Melrose glad you're gonna be here especially I bring in 15 jobs with you we always appreciate that I have some fond memories standing outside in the north end waiting for Giacomo's to take my number so it's nice to know that the tradition of no call aheads and reservations will continue here in Melrose I know that the facility in which you're located is a little narrow the way the the building is set up so in the in the rear where the tavern or the bar used to be set up in the previous restaurant they did occasionally have live music is there any plan for any type of music not at all another question I just had in terms of transactions you plan to be cash only no no all right that's all the questions I

Medeiros: thank you thank you thank you very much before we take the vote I just wanted to say a few words myself I have to say I've never been to one of the other restaurants but I've just heard so much throughout the community about the buzz and excitement there is for your restaurant so I can't wait coincidentally May 16th happens to be my birthday so perhaps we're not here too late that night I'll get to celebrate and I would suggest it yes perhaps before our final vote on this assuming we all vote to recommend tonight will be at the next full board meeting which is scheduled for May 1st May 2nd May 2nd right now the first Monday in May and so I just might suggest that you check with the city clerk and make sure that that everything is the way you expect it to be in terms of the hours on the application and and that we have the spelling just so because I think we may have a typo no that's correct in John is
