Lemmerman: on discussion alderman Lemmerman thank you mr president um i just wanted to take a moment to address some of the issues brought up around the horse man renovations um and just you know stress that this is this is certainly a facilities issue this is not a cosmetic issue what's what's proposing to be done here currently we do not have the spaces that are needed for the proper curriculum we are sort of stuffing everything into one room at the end of the building so it's certainly not cosmetic ADA compliance is a real concern and a real issue and I think the fact that it hasn't been we have buildings that haven't been in compliance for 26 years is really just all the more reason to take advantage of the opportunity but finally and perhaps most importantly which was brought up during our meeting is the safety issue at Horace Mann which is that you can literally get very far into this building before anybody even sees you and that you have to check in there's no line of vision and there's no check-in point which this does rectify originally this was looked at as a place for modulars you know after some some real analysis it didn't make sense there but in fact the modules really only dealt with one of those issues and and the way that we're proposing it now or that's before us now that's being proposed deals with all three so just wanted to make sure that that was something that you know the public was aware of as we were taking this vote thank you thank you
