Medeiros: for passage Alderman Medeiros thank you I just want to say a few words and just clarify that I know that was brought up today in public participation and in and also i think one of the emails that was brought to our attention and why don't we use a different source of funds for this or why don't we the aldermen spend more money to do more work and i just want to point out and clarify that you know our job here is i know all of you know in the chamber but obviously to make it clear to the people at home that we are presented proposals by the administration being the the mayor's office and that's that's his role as the executive in our role as the legislative body that handles um voting on the appropriations and the legislative part of it we can approve things we can only we can cut things but we we can say no but we really can't change and add more proposals we're not like the house of representatives that can start spending bills and things like that so things uh in order to spend money need to come before us
