▶ 4:41 Speaker 2: the tradition of the old heavenly licks with a new twist to it we're gonna still be selling ice cream we've we've I'd like to thank the Alderman for seeing me tonight. I'd like to thank all the all the different boards that I've been working with. This is a new venture for me. The town clerk, the building department, the health department, all the inspectors have been very gracious in helping me maneuver through all the all the things that I needed to do to get to the point where we expect to be the number one ice cream purveyor here in Melrose because I think we're going to be the only one. We are featuring Richardson's ice cream. We're expecting to bring in Winfrey's chocolates. I have sampled some of these products, as you can see, but please don't be afraid to come down as we do have low-calorie frozen yogurt. I believe there's going to be a sugar-free offering. There's all sorts of Italian ices and protein shakes for the protein-minded, and I'm looking forward to having Melroseans and, well, Wakefieldians, and I don't know how to say Stoneham people, But those people are welcome to come over here, too. But I want to thank you very, very much for seeing me tonight.

And let me tell you, it is the most frequent question I've been asked all summer long. What's happening down there? When's it going to open? So we're delighted to have ice cream back in Ward 5. and nice to have a little bit of a twist with it you do have big shoes to fill just with the heavenly licks but and I hope that you know you can get active within the community and you know be helping with the Lincoln School I know that they have done some things with the previous owners so it's it's great join in you know be part of the community and we wish you the best of luck thank you

▶ 6:36 Speaker 2: very much we're very very friendly to families we try to make it as inclusive and it's open to bring in handicapped and bring in people that can fit into the store. It's wide open if you've seen the floor plan, which is on record. It's bright, it's airy. We're looking for little leaguers and brownies and Cub Scouts and lots of families to come on in.

▶ 7:07 Speaker 2: Well, I think the information that I've been given by the town is that I'd have to put in a handicapped bathroom. And due to the structure of the building that's over 100 years old, currently it's not conducive due to the way everything was laid out. There were more seats in the previous ice cream store. And I don't know if that was a grandfathered thing or how it works, but my understanding is I have 12, but two are for employees and the other 10 are for customers. But that that we would love that we'd love to have more seats and if we as this goes long Hopefully all them and we'll be able to work that together Look forward to working with you Thank you very very much

▶ 8:26 Speaker 2: started out as a diver one one who dives for dishes it as a kid at a at a tennis club over Newton and worked the restaurant inside the country club and did that. My career since then has been in the entertainment field. I also own a microelectronics business that is different than this, but I date a woman who happens to own a fine, a wonderful nine seat restaurant in Stoneham. It's called Victor's Italian Restaurant on Lincoln Avenue and it's number one on Yelp it's a women-owned when women operated and she lets me die for dishes occasionally there but I thought I'd try my own hand at this and and who doesn't like I mean I love ice cream so I figured you know honey I'm gonna show I'll show you that I can do a little thing you have people eat over at your place for dinner and send them over to Melrose so we can get some money for the
