Speak up. as some know my father passed away a couple of weeks ago and this has been a difficult time that was preceded by multiple hospitalizations and you know it led me to have absences at meetings and especially during budget meetings and you know I am somebody that takes this role very seriously and enjoys my time here with all of you so I I apologize for that and I appreciate the understanding of this committee and of the public and I wanted to just think on behalf of myself and my family thank all of you for your understanding and your support and many acts of kindness from the members here from the staff at City Hall and throughout the city and the mayor and just wanted to say thank you

Forbes: privilege as well this Friday at City Hall at 930 in the morning we are handing out two $5,000 scholarships to two well-deserving Melrose graduating seniors on behalf of the Bill Forbes scholarship fund is the first annual one we are fortunate enough to hand out $10,000 this year we hope that this will continue to be an annual event my father's biggest gift was the gift of giving and so hopefully this is year one of something very special not only this year but for years and years to come i appreciate everyone's support and contribution and i thank
