▶ 48:25 Speaker 6: referenced earlier as you know there's a change in leadership that we're undergoing it at stations and as happens whenever we have a change of leadership in a major department we the first thing we do is review the previous directors practices policies procedures make sure that we have an accounting for everything that belongs to the program and in the course of doing that miss Farrell came to me and said until we get our hands wrapped around what we now have she didn't feel comfortable on recommending a it's not a scholarship and I'll talk to that in a moment a fee assistance so she has asked that we don't do that what we will continue to do is the same thing that we currently do for any student who has a hardship we will take it on a case-by-case basis as an exercise we ran some numbers and as you can see it can be quite impactful unless we have a good system in place and so to that end I went out on my listserv and I asked my colleagues if they have similar situations and how they're handling it as I told mr. school the majority of the answers was well when you find out something would you please share it um but i did have at least three colleagues send me very detailed programs that they're using and miss farrell and i will sit down and look at those programs and see if they are adaptable to melrose so um we should have something probably

▶ 50:37 Jessica Dugan: discussion miss dugan thanks um i i appreciate the recommendation and support it and um would just like to include that there are quite a few fee based programs that we do have and at this point informally any students with hardships or who are on free reduced lunch are being supported in a variety of ways i think in those programs so i think in any consideration with this it would be important to kind of look at the bigger picture across um ecc athletics instrumental music for the the elementary school etc so I think the the larger picture is really important rather than taking Ed's as a separate that is the intent when I read the
