With us this evening are Vice Chairman Alderman Wright, Voting Members Alderman Lipper-Garabedian, Alderman Tramontozzi, Alderman Lemmerman, and President Infurna. Non-voting members of the Committee include Alderman Zwirko, Alderman Boisselle, Alderman Mortimer, Alderman Medeiros, and Alderman Bewtra. This meeting is being recorded. I got a motion to open the floor for public participation made by Alderman Lemmerman, seconded by Alderman Tramontozzi. All those in favor? Aye. Any opposed? This is a portion of our meeting where anybody can come from the general public, sit at the table, and speak on behalf of the two items that we have before us. nobody willing to come forward got a motion to close public participation made by alderman lemmerman seconded by alderman Letter garabedian all those in favor aye any opposed public participation is now concluded we have two items before us this evening first one is order number two zero one eight dash one one four it's an acceptance of an afdo conference grant in the the amount of $2,988 to pay for attendance at the National Conference, fund number 4512. Just for everybody at home, there is a memo here from Ruth Clay, who's not going to be here tonight, basically just saying that order number 2018-114 is a grant to accept, to accept a grant from the Association of Food and Drug Officials in the sum of $2,988. The purpose of the grant is to send one health inspector to the annual education conference for the National Environment Health Association. There is no matching funds required for the grant. Matching funds are used for conference registration, airfare, other transportation, hotel, and food. And the health department did receive the same grant last year. A different staff person will be attending this year.
