▶ 11:54 Speaker 1: make a statement about yourself tell the committee a bit about you sure so we moved to Melrose about a year ago my daughter who's been escorted out for being rowdy and it's the first time that we've really felt settled in a community so I've been looking for ways to get involved and the Human Rights Commission seemed like an excellent way to ensure that the community was growing in a positive direction and I wanted to be a part of that mission so that that was my interest and I feel very lucky to have been selected by the Commission and optimistic that I'll be approved tonight thank you questions or comments thank you thank you do you feel that you have any agenda that you'd like to work on as a commissioner so I think one thing that's of particular interest to me is issues around race equity I'm half Indian I've grown up sort of not fully mapping on to either group and I think that that's something that I've felt passionate about and all the more so recently I know Melrose has a somewhat small minority population but I think that makes it all the more important to make sure Thorp visibility for those members of the community that Thorp comfort that Thorp exchange of ideas between majority and minority of the community so I think that's one area that I have particular interest and I know Thorp already good work going on at the Commission so I hope to supplement that and possibly bring some new ideas thank you thank you thank you
