Lemmerman: Public participation is now closed. we have two items on our agenda this evening the first item is order 2018-112 presentation of the public safety building feasibility study by the public safety building committee i would like to just take one moment and give a brief update to the board before we make a motion on this order the mayor's public safety building advisory committee did have a meeting in june it was on wednesday june 20th 2018 this also happened to be the start of my role as the aldermanic representative on that committee when i joined this meeting at that meeting when you attend when which i attended we were given an update on three primary buckets by both the dpw mr shena director mr shena as well as the city solicitor mr van campen and those were a general update along with the contractors who were putting together the the study itself on the status reviewing the conditions doing a needs assessment and outlining each of the options there was also an update regarding the city's discussion with the MBTA on the Tremont Street station and the plans to basically have a land acquisition right behind that building there's some discussions going on with the MBTA on that option as well the third was a general summary of the administration's discussions and timeline and its dialogue with the three public safety unions and that those discussions are still ongoing so at this point because those discussions are still ongoing the study is not finalized and is not ready to be presented to the board for that reason we will not um have any members of the committee itself other than myself as the aldermanic representative to uh present to the board this evening alderman mortimer in light of

Lemmerman: be interested in hearing there's not at this time anything other than to say that each of the public safety buildings meaning the three fire stations as well as the police station are all being assessed in terms of what they can hold and what can be done in those buildings and whether they can continue to be used in their own capacity or a new capacity and what those options might be if they

▶ 4:09 Jennifer L. Lemmerman: exactly so it's not on the calendar um at this point the discussions with unions are ongoing um just to be sure that those have been settled before a plan can be finalized and presented
