▶ 34:56 Kate Lipper-Garabedian: Alderman the pre-caribbean I just have a very quick update for the good of the order with respect to the school building committee I did reach out to city officials just to check in given the override passing and the fact that we're going to be able to reclaim the BB to see if they're going to be reconvening the school building committee and they I think they were going to start a discussion related to that and include it and then create a timeline that will include a convening of that committee so I haven't heard yet when that will be but I will keep everyone informed thank you

Medeiros: Alderman Medeiros thank you I just have a update in the school committee which is going to be here with us tonight momentarily but for the public the last meeting they had the school spotlight on the ECC the early childhood center at the Franklin school which is coming up on ten years in September and kind of near and dear to my heart because I voted for that as a school committee member to create the ECC miss Rosso was there and she has a presentation that which she presented looking back at the earliest year that she could find data for which was 2011 comparatively to the present 2019 and to look at many of the changes including the increases in enrollment for example in 2011 there were a hundred and fifty six students which then went on from the ECC to the Melrose public schools and in 2019 174 students are expected to go on among the changes this year was the inclusion of kindergarten at the early childhood Center and they discuss the this is providing more challenges but it's also so exciting to see the kids actually learn how to read and how exciting that is the whole presentation is available on the city of Melrose public schools website under the Franklin school section there's a number of people who came forward in public comment in to express their disappointment over the loss of ecamp and some concern over the request that the parents purchase Chromebooks I'm sure we'll hear more about that in the coming months they did approve the elementary school code of conduct and also a pilot program of a bring your own device for Chromebooks superintendent a more reported that there are many district needs for bonding in for technology and especially if we were to or we are to reach the goal of having one device per student and also for instance that they are in need of new smart boards at every school which she expects would cost nine hundred and ten thousand dollars and would be something that we would require some bonding down the load so they also voted on the final line-by-line budget document which we will see tonight momentarily and some of this of course is still dependent on contract
