▶ 2:06:43 Speaker 6: Mr. Sellin. Some upcoming Human Rights Commission dates. First and foremost, the annual potluck international welcome reception will be postponed until the spring this year
▶ 2:06:59 Speaker 6: the international welcome reception typically happens at the lincoln every year right um instead uh on uh november 2nd uh gotv weekend for most uh politicians in melrose it seems um diwali will happen and so the human rights commission invites you individually including the superintendent to come and experience diwali with the community additionally
▶ 2:07:35 Speaker 6: in november there will also be on the 20th transgender day of remembrance held at the uu church co-sponsored by the melrose human rights commission details forthcoming
▶ 2:07:52 Speaker 1: very good thank you mr selma any further liaison reports i would just note uh that we do have the melrose alliance against violence uh annual walk and candlelight vigil coming up this sunday october 20th at 4 p.m at the melrose veterans memorial middle school the school committee traditionally does participate in that and we will be fielding a group for that so all who can be there are urged to attend and participate anything further madam mayor i'd just like to um
▶ 2:08:27 Gail Infurna: thank the um morris high school band students as um this evening they had the city-wide band program that's why i was a little late and um and i think i got a little easy by having too much fresh air out there marching with the kids when i first came in but uh it was a great program we learned to count to eight several times and held our instruments up and marched along the
▶ 2:08:53 Gail Infurna: field it was really kind of fun the kids the little kids were great the high school band kids were great teaching them and helping them along it was really a nice program so i just want to extend that the kids were great doing it terrific thank you for that
