MacMaster: good council maderas council mcmaster please thank you mr president um tomorrow is the final meeting of the year for the veteran services advisory board that meeting will occur tomorrow at 6 30 p.m in the basement level of city hall one item on the agenda is a veteran parking spot if you recall a few months ago this council passed an order that i filed which would establish a designated parking spot pursuant to the brave act in the municipal lot here in city at city hall i do want to thank and acknowledge mayor broder who's present it's my understanding that mayor broder's administration has since made a determination that that can move forward as a matter of policy we had erred on the side of caution and recommended rather than enacted as an ordinance that it be something that go before the traffic commission so i appreciate how the mayor's recognition that that can happen as a matter of policy which i think is is the right move and is a way for us to expedite this and i know that the veterans advisory board not only supports that but is thankful and appreciative of your efforts mayor so thank you thank you mr president thank you counselor i don't see any items on the calendar does anybody want to speak for the last time motion to adjourn before we entertain that motion

Forbes: as we end our last city council meeting of the year and for many of us it'll end our terms in public service I would like to acknowledge our departing councillors councillor Manisha Bewtra councillor and former president Robert Boisselle councillor Monica Medeiros councillor and former president Peter Mortimer councillor Francis Wright councillor and former president Michael Zwirko and in the audience, Councillor and former President Jennifer Lemmerman. Why are we here? We all ran for public service because we want to be part of something that was bigger than ourselves. As Councillors, we want to be part of that decision-making process that helps move the community forward. And yes, we have disagreed from time to time, and we were passionate about our positions on the issues. However, at the end of the day, we always remain respectful for the institution of government and each other i am truly honored to have been taking this journey with each and every one of you we wish our 2020 city council that are with us this evening the best of luck and we hope that you continue the pathway forward and with that i will entertain a motion to adjourn second made by councillor mortimer seconded by Councillor Boisselle.
