▶ 1:09:43 Speaker 3: council always has to call every election it's part of state law but what's kind of remarkable about these particular elections is that one the special state primary is to find a replacement for Paul Broder's seat that's coming up very quickly February 4th and I'm not sure the public is completely aware that it's coming so soon so i like that i appreciate the opportunity to talk about it publicly for orders 2256 and 2257 you'll note it's the same date those two elections are being held concurrently so for the public's purposes you can go to vote on march 3rd and you can vote in both the presidential primary and the state rep election it's two separate ballots so you'll need to request both um but uh other than that it'll be like a normal time so if you see two separate elections and that looks confusing um we just have to keep records independently um but for the public's purposes you can go once and just vote twice for the

▶ 1:11:03 Speaker 3: um as all elections um it's uh that are state or federal some costs are reimbursed by the state but in terms of cost of poll workers and um our facilities cost that kind of stuff that the city will cover um oh and i'd like to also note that there will be early voting for the march 3rd election just the week before um not two weeks like some other things so from whatever i think it's february 24th but don't put me on that um and we'll announce those times and dates and some of that does get reimbursed by the state as well

▶ 1:13:50 Speaker 3: we're still gonna work out the best process possible for our poll workers because it will We are concerned it will be a bit confusing because you choose your party ballot for the primary, but then you only get the single general election ballot for the state, but you will have to, you'll either be asked if you would like two ballots or you need to request it. You won't by default be given both.
