▶ 43:27 Paul Brodeur: that it's census time perhaps the most exciting thing if you are looking for work is the census it's looking for folks they pay about 27 bucks an hour and they're looking higher but the bigger picture is the census is underway for folks who don't know the census is required by the Constitution once every ten years and it really creates the formula by which members of Congress are divided and most federal grant money or federal dollars are distributed so the accuracy of the count makes a big difference to a lot of ways that that most gets impacted particularly in terms of of federal funding so it is imperative to do that the creation of this of this committee is something that the Census Bureau contemplates and a lot of cities and towns most cities and towns do it it tends to focus a little bit more on communities that might have challenges getting getting accurate counts because there might be diversity issues language issues isolation within the community that is not so much the case here but it still behooves us to make every effort to make sure everyone is counted and that we do make sure we're reaching what might be hard to reach populations so the majority of this work will really be to draw attention to the census and importantly to reassure folks that this data is as secure as any federal data can be there is federal law around this data that says it cannot be shared with any other agency so for folks that might be concerned about whether or not this would create an immigration problem for someone or law enforcement uh issue for someone it will not and the purpose of the census is to carry is to count every single person in the district regardless of their immigration status criminal status it is literally to count every resident and that might be a little bit of a hard sell quite frankly these days but it is important to deliver that message again and make sure that we count every person that we can i want to thank the president for a partnership
