I'm calling to order tonight's special joint meeting of the Melrose City Council and the Melrose School Committee as required by our city charter so that we can hear from his honor, the mayor, regarding the FY21 budget. I will now read the remote meeting information. Pursuant to Governor Baker's March 12, 2020 order suspending certain provisions of the Open Meeting Law and the Governor's March 15, 2020 order imposing strict limitation on the number of people that may gather in one place, this joint meeting of the City Council and the School Committee will be conducted via remote participation to the greatest extent possible.
