▶ 19:00 Jeff McNaught: Councilor McNaught? Thank you, Mr. President. In hearing some of the feedback that we've gotten over the last couple of weeks And in seeing how we ended last week's meeting, and I thank my fellow Councilor, Councilor Tramontozzi for recommending that this be sent to the full body without recommendation for passage or without recommendation not to pass, if that's the correct termination, or not to pass. It was just sent to us. I think that that was a very intelligent uh decision maneuver if you will i think counselor tram and tozy much like all of us realized that there's a lot of discussion to be had here um if you're like me and i'm sure you all are you've heard from a lot of people over the last couple of weeks especially since we discussed this last week and i've heard from people on both sides of the discussion i've heard from people who worked at mount hood who are for and against um a beverage cart but uh i i would also just caution us to remember again and and one of the uh residents mr ditmer said several times this isn't just about mount hood i know that another letter that was read was all about mount hood but But it's not, it's not all about Mount Hood. I think that we need to take our time and handle this right and not rush any decision tonight, that is. We need more feedback. And I don't say this in any insulting way to anyone, but we keep hearing from the same few people. I know myself that I've heard from other people they don't feel like they're being represented correctly by those people so that to me throws up a red flag and i think we have to say time out um we we need to hear from more people on this matter and i understand not everybody has to call in and speak at public comment um they may not want to they're not comfortable doing it um but i think that we've we've found ourselves um we've bumped into an issue where we realize this isn't a quick decision um i myself who was you know heavily in favor of uh of moving forward with this and i know i was in the minority on that um even have had some moments for pause but um i think overall we need to think about this more

▶ 21:41 Jeff McNaught: um and on top of i believe it was miss venuti a lot of people have mentioned gmc is it golf course management or mgc whatever the acronym is i think we have to talk with them too um i think what we have here is an incomplete solution to a lot of problems um you know as i said in our last meeting $7,000 isn't going to make it rain in the city of Melrose. I never looked at the additional 7,000 in revenue as a windfall for the city. I looked at it as more of an amenity to have a beverage cart at Mount Hood and to have venues around the city that could be, you know, parks rented, a police detail hired. um a lot of regulation to go into um renting that space so that it's safe and effective but when it comes to mount hood i think they do a really good job at the clubhouse i know they don't do a really good job on the course and i think that's something that needs to be addressed i also think that the seven thousand dollars is not enough um i think you know if we're going to move forward with this they're going to need to provide more money so that we can put more you know rangers and people out on the course that can actually watch what's going on and i agree with what chief lyle said last week it's like the wild west out there and it is and that's where i agree with a lot of what people have called in and said you know there's issues out there there are um my personal feeling is this is this is a way to help curb that but i guess the overall point that I'm trying to make is I don't feel like we have enough information yet and I would like to make a motion to remand this back to legal and legislative the committee so that we can do more fact finding and have more debate and move towards a more constructive solution than what we have right now I'll second that motion

▶ 24:09 Jen Grigoraitis: Councilor Rodriguez? Thank you, President Sinella. As the chair of Legal and Ledge, and as the Councilor who represents board 6 from Mount hood is located. I agree that I don't think the city did its job in what it brought before us. And I found the information and sufficiently telling for what they were asking. And I also know that several of the residents who have taken the time and energy to come before us and share their opinions, which I greatly appreciate because I do think it takes. A little something extra to go on record with with your stance on something I've asked questions of the city that have yet to be answered. And for that reason, I would very much like to see this have an opportunity for those questions, particularly around some of the. Violations to be answered. Thank you. Anybody else on discussion?
